Today's Vindicator listed the 2007-2008 State Report Cards for all school districts in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. The Poland Schools received an "Excellent" rating. In addition to the district-level information, the report card for each individual building within the tri-county area was listed.Poland North Elementary is 1 of only 3 schools in Mahoning County to be designated "Excellent with Distinction". There are 69 schools in Mahoning County and approximately 168 in the tri-county area. Only 6 were designated "Excellent with Distinction" which is the State's highest mark. It recognizes schools that are "making significant progress even though they are already among the top tier of schools."
I am exceptionally proud of our students and staff. This is a wonderful accomplishment and one that should shared with everyone associated with our building. Congratulations!
