A Special Visit!

Today was an exciting day. Members of the Pittsburgh Pirates stopped by the school as part of the 2011 Pirates Winter Caravan. Pitcher Jeff Karstens and 2nd baseman Neil Walker joined Pitching Coach Ray Searage and Announcer Tim Neverett for an hour long assembly. They were joined by the one and only Pirate Parrot! While here, our guests and several students participated in the Pirates' version of "Minute to Win It". Each contestant received an autographed game jersey. Two other students were given the responsibility of keeping their eyes on the Pirate Pirate. They both received hats and autographed baseballs. Be sure to watch the news tonight.
