Wow!!.......We had ourselves one exciting day! Nick Eason of the Pittsburgh Steelers spent several hours visiting with our students and staff. He began his visit in the gym where he was greeted by a sea of black and gold. He talked about his NFL career, but spent as much time stressing the importance of a getting a good education, working hard and respecting others. Each homeroom was encouraged to think of three good questions to ask our guest. As the morning progressed, he made his way through each and every classroom, posed for countless pictures, signed autographs for our students and staff and answered a lot of good questions. In case you are wondering what his favorite food is, I'll share........"Just about anything on my plate."Nick also signed a Super Bowl XLIII football and pennant for "the students of Poland North Elementary". Look for a great story in tomorrow's Vindicator and an upcoming one in the Town Crier. There may also be a story on tonight's news courtesy of WKBN!
