Congratulations! Our school came in third place in Mahoning County for this year's "Cash for Cans" program. Poland North will receive a check for over $450.00 soon that will be put to good use. Please continue saving cans over the summer months. You can always drop them off by the Boiler Room doors.
There is more good news. Mrs. Kaschak, Ms. Vasko and their 4th grade students received a certificate from the Walt Disney Company for being this year's State Runner-Up in Disney's Planet Challenge. As you may know, the 4th graders participated in a nationwide contest that was designed to raise the environmental awareness of those around them. Mrs. Kaschak and Ms. Vasko received a $100.00 gift card from Lakeshore publishing that will be used to enhance their classrooms.
