Gettin' Ready!
As we all prepare for the upcoming school year, please encourage your children to sharpen up their writing skills. Regardless of your children's age or grade, take a few moments and help them write short poems for the Vindicator's MiniPage. You can find the MiniPage in Saturday's paper on the back of the sports page. You'll find everything you need to know under the published poems. Send them in or have your children bring them to school in September. I send poems in each week from our school. This time of year provides quite a few good ideas:1. Football
2. Fall
3. The Canfield Fair
4. School
Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Back to Work!
I'll be heading back to work next week. Wait a minute.......I had to check the calendar since I cannot believe this to be true! The school's office will reopen on Tuesday, August 11th.Mr. Sofranec and his crew have done a wonderful job cleaning the building. All of the classrooms are ready to go. Over the summer, quite a few improvements have been made to the building. Security cameras have been added to our front entrance that will make the building safer for all students. In addition, security lighting will be added soon to the playground area. Poland North Elementary School will be ready to go!
I also have "big" news to share, but will have to keep it a secret for a little bit longer.
Thank you,
Mr. Masucci

Summer!
It is hard to believe that the end of another school year has arrived. We'll be open for business on Monday, June 9th in order to make up one of our calamity days from the winter months. However, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, staff, PTO and parents for a wonderful 2007-2008 school year. Because of you, I feel like I have the best job in the world!
Over the summer, I know I will relay information using my blog. From time to time, check our site. I'll be adding dates and information about some of next year's events to our school calendar.
Be sure to look for pictures from the Kindergarten class picnic, 3rd Grade's trip to Pittsburgh and Fun/Field Day! They will be loaded soon.
Thank you,
Mr. Masucci
