Information came home earlier in the week about a contest. As you know, students are always encouraged to participate. Words like initiative, desire and committment are often used in an attempt to motivate. The response to the
Kids Are Authors contest has been great, especially in the 4th grade. However, it is open to all students in our building and I would love to see our younger students participate, too. Check out the

Since we missed "Penny Day" because of a snow day, I wanted to be sure to remind everyone about "Quarter Day". In honor of George Washington's birthday, students and staff are encouraged to bring in quarters on Friday, February 22nd. We are very close to reaching our $6,000.00 goal. Boardman Rotary sent a $500.00 check in yesterday and brought us 1 step closer to making a child's wish come true.
There is no school once again due to the weather.
Tuesday, February 12th will be "Penny Day" at school. In honor of President Lincoln's birthday, our students can bring in pennies for our Make-A-Wish efforts.
