Yeah!

Summer has arrived! I'd like to thank our students, staff, PTO and families here at Poland North Elementary School for another wonderful school year. After 15 years, I still do not know of a place that is as special as our school. Thank you.

Mrs. Klase, Mrs. O'Shaughnessy and their Fun Day committee did an outstanding job. Everyone had a blast. Our volunteers were great and a huge help setting up and cleaning up. Thanks for putting our students first.

Thank you,
Mr. Masucci

1 Down......2 to Go!

After today, there are only 2 more days of school! Wednesday looks like it may be absolutely perfect for our annual Fun Day. Mrs. Klase and her committee have done a fantastic job planning this year's event. Once again, the PTO has come through for our students. Thank you!

During Wednesday's festivities, I'll be found sitting atop the dunk tank. Here is a message to one and all......."Bring it on!"

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

It's FRIDAY!

Our last full week of school has come to an end. Our 4th graders were on their best behavior today while they listened to the 5th grade band. Afterwards, they had the chance to meet Mr. Kempers, their new principal, and ask questions about 5th grade.

3rd grade headed to Lowellville and 1st grade to the Poland Library this afternoon. In addition, the 4th grade class went bowling with their friends from Union and Dobbins.

Our building was quiet this afternoon!

Enjoy the weekend.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Great Trip!

Our 4th graders take one of the year's best field trips today to the Juvenile Justice Center. During their visit, they will be constantly reminded that making good choices and choosing friends wisely will ultimately lead to success. Making poor choices and hanging with the wrong crowd can lead to other things. It is a very educational trip and one that Ms. Vasko and Mrs. Kaschak feel is extremely beneficial. Be sure to ask them about today's trip. Many may come home and give their parents a HUGE hug!

My family and I attended a Pirate game on Sunday. At that time, I was given the tickets for our school. When I opened the package, I found quite a few more tickets than I expected. If anyone would like additional tickets to the game, please let me know. Ask your family and friends. I would rather give them all away than have any left. Let me know!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Great Job 4th Grade!

Last evening's 4th Grade Recognition was absolutely wonderful. Mrs. Romito and Mrs. Thompson planned an incredible night that our students will never forget. Their committee was amazing, too. This year's decorations were the best ever! Thanks to Elliott's Garden Center our lobby and gym looked like a million bucks. I'd also like to thank Swan Lake Photography, The Green Team, Lutz Greenhouse, Mahoning County's Soil and Water Conservation District and Cobblestone Corners. These businesses were instrumental in making the evening such a success.

Above all else, it was our 4th graders that stole the show. I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of all that they have accomplished. Enjoy this very special time.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A New Month!

It's June! If you listen carefully, you can hear the cheers from our staff. While we may not be here that long, June sure is packed full of special events. It's also a great time to review classroom rules with your children. Some tend to get "summer fever" a bit early.

We're just about ready for tomorrow's big event. Our 4th graders are very excited and are going to be treated to a very special evening. Our PTO is the best. Thank you Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Romito for all your hard work in planning this year's program.

Thank you,
Mr. Masucci
