Enjoy!

We made it! There were some very excited children who walked through our doors this morning. During our morning announcements, we talked about family, friends and this very special time of year. Be sure to ask your kids about the book we finished reading, too. The book's main character, Fudge, managed to make them laugh.

I'd like to thank today's PTO volunteers for helping with the holiday treats. For those who may not have heard, Poland North Elementary School's PTO will be honored at the upcoming "Heroes of the Mahoning Vally Banquet" on Saturday. February 6th. The PTO's devotion to our students and contributions to the community impressed this year's judges from the American Red Cross.

Happy Holidays,
Mr. Masucci

1 More Day!

Tomorrow is it! Our students are more than ready for the holidays and some time away from school. To be honest, so am I. We were treated to a visit from Sadecky's Puppets this afternoon. Be sure to ask your children about the performance. Thank you PTO for providing the necessary funds to have them visit.

Information is heading home today about Poland North Elementary School's Phantom Night at the Covelli Center on January 9th. Tickets for this upcoming hockey game are $7.50. $3.00 from each ticket sold will go the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It's also "Super Hero Night" on the 9th. Students and adults are encouraged to wear the costumes of their favorite heroes. The evening should be a lot of fun. Please let me know if you'd like tickets.

I was notified yesterday that Poland North Elementary School will once again be recognized at this year's "Heroes of the Mahoning Valley Banquet". Earlier in the year, I nominated our school's PTO for their impact on our students, school and community. The judges at the Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross were impressed with this amazing group of parents and will honor them in February. More information will be coming home after the holidays. Congratulations! This marks the 5th time in 7 years that our school has been honored at this annual event.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Enjoy the Weekend!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Well.......come Wednesday it will be. Visions of sugarplums are certainly in the heads of many of our students. Despite a bit more excitement than usual, this is a great place to be this time of year. Your children are ready for the holiday and a nice break from school. Please continue to remind them that the rules at school have not changed. Making good choices is important all year round, but there is no better week to make them than December 21st!

To date, our school has collected 675 pounds of aluminum. Keep those empty cans coming! You can drop them off over the holiday break, too.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

One of Those Days!

It's been one of those days when time just flies by. I guess that goes with mid-December. Our 2nd graders enjoyed their trip to Powers Auditorium today. While they were gone, the Seminary Singers dazzled our students with a little holiday cheer.

There are just 2 more days to purchase tickets for our holiday plates. Winning tickets will be drawn Monday morning.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

And Then There Were Five!

There are five more school days until our break! In other words, they are all yours come December 24th! Tomorrow will be an exciting day. The Seminary Singers will be visiting. These talented kids will be singing some holiday favorites.

Tickets for our holiday plates will continue to be on sale until Monday. Be sure to send in an extra dollar for a chance to win. All proceeds will go to our PTO!

Check out the new Radio Disney pictures!

Mr. Masucci

Fa-La-La-La-La

The 1st and 2nd graders will dazzle everyone tonight. They sound absolutely wonderful. Today's Dress Rehearsal was all the proof I need. I am exceptionally proud of how they have worked. Their efforts have really paid off. I look forward to seeing many of you tonight. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. Bring a few extra dollars for our holiday plate raffle.

I received an e-mail from our Radio Disney friends. They were very happy to be here Friday afternoon and impressed with our kids' dance moves. If your kids enjoyed Friday's party, wait until they get a load of what Radio Disney has in store for us in February. I will let no secrets out!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Thank You Radio DIsney!

I managed to keep today's Radio Disney Dance Party a surprise all the way up until the end. Poland North Elementary School was 1 of 20 schools in the state of Ohio to win Radio Disney's "Move It! School Challenge. Our students and staff were entertained by Radio Disney Personalities all afternoon. Look for news coverage to be on WKBN and WYTV at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. tonight! Be sure to ask your children about today's fun! Look for a TON of pictures to be posted soon. I have to catch my breath first! CONGRATULATIONS POLAND NORTH!

Here are pictures of our holiday plates. Tickets will begin being sold on Monday. Thanks Mrs. Orr, Mrs. Garcia and Mrs. Smith for all of your help.

Thanks PTO!

We had a great turnout for today's PTO meeting. I'd like to thank PTO President Tammy Sabrin and our Officers for their continued support. Thanks for lunch, too. Everything was appreciated and delicious.

Plans are coming together nicely for our Radio Disney event. Lori Casey reported on the many baskets we'll be raffling off during the February 5th event. If anyone has any suggestions, please let one of us know. In addition, information will soon be coming home about the Labels for Education program. Like the Box Tops Contest, it can generate a lot of "easy money" for our school.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Brrrrrr!

Winter weather is heading our way. Let's hope our area isn't hit too hard. If you have to travel, please be careful.

There is a very nice article in today's Vindicator about our 4th grader's recycling efforts. Check it out if you have a moment. The article is on the front page of the local section.

PTO's monthly meeting will take place tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. Please plan on attending. It's a very busy time of year with quite a bit to discuss. February's Radio Disney event will be a hot topic!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

A Busy Day!

I'd like to thank family, friends and neighbors for making it to our 4th graders' "Recycling Program" this afternoon. Ms. Vasko and Mrs. Kaschak did a wonderful job guiding their students. I'd also like to thank the Green Team's Peg Fylnn for participating. Information was shared about recycling and saving our Earth. Like our 4th graders say, "There is no Planet B!"

Mrs. Orr, Mrs. Garcia and Mrs. Smith will be here tomorrow to finish up our holiday plates. Tickets for the finished products can be purchased for $1.00 beginning Monday, December 14th.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

It's Monday!

I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. The temperature certainly is a reminder that winter is here to stay. Please be sure your children are wearing warm coats to school. Students will go out for recess unless the temperature drops below 20 degrees. On chilly days, we may have students go out for a short period of time in order to release a little energy. Your support is appreciated.

There is a new addition to our school's lobby. Be sure you ask your children about it tomorrow.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Friday, December 4, 2009

Enjoy the Weekend!

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend. The weather may allow me to get a few more million leaves out of my yard before I toss up the Christmas lights.

Please plan on attending Thursday's PTO luncheon. I know it is a busy time of year, but there will be a lot to discuss. There will be something very special going on next week. I'm pretty good at keeping secrets, so keep your eyes on this site.

There may be a few dancing elves showing up on the site soon. Stay tuned!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

It's Almost Friday!

The weekend is almost here! Thank goodness. It's been a very busy week. I guess that tends to happen in December.
My family is having two 4th graders, Monica and Katelyn, over for dinner tonight. They participated in a recent contest and had their names drawn to eat with the Masucci family...even Riley. They'll quickly find that our house is pretty boring. Four more students will be joining us in the weeks to come.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A Busy Day!

Wow! Today was exceptionally busy. I finally am getting to today's message. Dinner is almost ready, so it's going to be short. I'm hungry.
As you know, our PTO is amazing. I'd like to thank all of the devoted mothers who helped out with Santa's Workshop today. They worked hard all day long and showed an incredible amount of patience. If any students forgot to thank you, allow me to do it again. THANKS!

Mrs. Garcia and Mrs. Orr showed their true colors today! (Don't worry...no Cyndi Lauper song) Thanks to them, and a little help from Mrs. Thompson, our annual holiday plates are taking shape. These little works of art will be raffled off soon. I'll post pictures in a day or two.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Welcome Back!

It was very nice to see so many smiling faces this morning. It's never easy to go back to work after a few days off, but coming back here is a little different. I'm a very lucky person.

Santa's Workshop will begin Wednesday, December 2nd. Information about the PTO's annual event was sent home last week. An additional price sheet will be heading home tomorrow from S & T Engraving. Representatives will be selling everything from Poland baseball hats to Poland rulers. This local business always supports our efforts and will donate 10% of all sales back to our PTO. Thank you in advance for your support.

Don't forget about our upcoming PTO Meeting on the 10th! It will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Conference Night! Be sure to stop by the office for Radio Disney VIP Passes before or after your conferences. They are going quickly! Donations, no matter how big or small, are greatly appreciated.

Be sure to check out our school's newsletter. Mr. Kellgren did a wonderful job putting it together. Thank you Dan!

On behalf of our students and staff, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Be safe if you are going to be traveling. I look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A Short Week!

I limped in today to find an envelope. Before I opened it, Mrs. Morrow grinned. That is always a good sign. Inside was a little over $1,000 for our Make-A-Wish efforts. Over the weekend, Cinema South accepted donations on our behalf during the 'New Moon' rage. I'd like to thank Cinema South's manger, Mrs. Allsopp, for her wonderful idea and support.

Don't forget to stop in for your Radio Disney Passes. I'll be offering the passes to others beginning on Monday, November 30th. Be sure to get yours soon.

Thanks to Mr. Kellgren for putting together our school newsletter. Look for your copy to head home tomorrow.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A Great Day!

Today's visit from our friends in Johnstown, PA was enjoyed by everyone. I was thrilled to see so many members of our community at school. Mayor Sicafuse, Chief Beatty and many others seemed to enjoy the helicopter visit as much as our students and staff. There is a wonderful article in Saturday's Vindicator.

Look for pictures and video to be posted on our site soon.

I cannot say enough about the Marine's kindness and cooperation. Their interaction with all of the students was amazing. Before taking off for the journey home, Major Tifft said, "Mr. Masucci...You can count on us again next year. This was great!"

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Visitation Day!

From what I hear, Visitation Day went very well. It's always nice to have parents in the building. I'm sorry I missed this special day, but am home nursing a sore knee. I had surgery yesterday to repair it. I woke up today thinking I could come in. However, 1 step forward and my own common sense put that thought right back on the couch. I hope to be in tomorrow.

Tomorrow's weather looks good for our helicopter visit! Please try to stop by.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Radio Disney!

Our Radio Disney passes are flying out the door. Passes will continue to be made available to Poland North families only until November 30th. After this date, I will seek out "North Alumni" and offer passes to them. Be sure to get yours soon.

It looks like Friday's weather may cooperate. Hope to see you at school. The Marines will arrive at 12:30 p.m.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Monday, November 16, 2009

A Busy Week!

Today's Blood Drive will begin at 3:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. If you are willing to donate, please plan on stopping by. Walk-ins are always welcome.

Our 4th Graders are collecting used telephone books this week and next. It's amazing how many you can accumulate over the years. If you have one you really do not need, send it to school. Thanks!

Our Radio Disney passes have arrived! We've handed out close 10 100 already. Thanks to those who have made a donation. It is appreciated. Our "Magical Celebration" is only 80 days away!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A Great Trip!

Our 4th Grade class had a beautiful day to explore the Mahoning Landfill. They had the opportunity to learn about the landfill's role in the community, to see different machines used to move, compact and level trash and to see man-made wetlands that turn polluted water into purified water. Enjoy the pictures.

Our school will be recycling telephone books next week. If you have any around the house that are not being used, send them to school! Thanks!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Thursday, November 12, 2009

Thank You!

Thank you bowlers! During our "Bowling for Dollars" days, our school raised a little over $400 .00 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Thanks to Mr. Wesolowsky and Camelot Lanes for their time and efforts, too. Our very own Poland Bulldog made a surprise visit this morning and even took a moment to bowl in front of an excited crowd. It's hard to fit paws into a bowling ball! Our staff were wonderful sports, too. The Poland North Elementary School Staff Bowling Team would be hard to beat!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

P.S. Be sure to ask about "Mix It Up" Day!

Veterans Day!

Today is a very special day! I spent a considerable amount of time during morning announcements sharing facts about Veterans. There is much to learn. Click here to explore a website that provides quite a bit of valuable information. Our students are wrapping up their letter writing this week. Our helicopter visit is only 9 days away. I hope you can make it, too.

All fundraiser items should be picked up tomorrow between 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. All orders must be picked up and cannot be left here overnight. Please make the appropriate arrangements.

If anyone is interested in helping out at Monday's Blood Drive, I would appreciate it. I need just a few volunteers for an hour or two. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Important News!

Our school's upcoming Blood Drive will be Monday, November 16th. To date, there are still quite a few slots open from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Please consider donating. All students who recruit a potential donor could win tickets to an upcoming Cleveland Cavalier game. Give me a call for more information.

Our local Fire Departments need our help. Over the course of the school year, our fire department provides all of our buildings with many services. Consequently, I am asking for your support. The link below will take you to a site sponsored by Liberty Mutual. The Western Reserve Fire District (Poland's Fire Department) is applying for a $10,000 grant. We can help by completing a 10-question quiz. The completed quiz will be credited to our local fire department and increase the chances of winning. Click here to help!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

It's Monday!

Welcome back to a new week! Let's hope the nice weather hangs around long enough for our helicopter visit on the 20th. Our students are getting excited.

Please continue to encourage your children to write poems for the MiniPage! It's nice to have so many "published" poets.

Congratulations to our three 4th graders who will be receiving honors in this year's Juvenile Court Advisory Poster Contest. Poland North Elementary School's students snatched up 1st place, 2nd place and Honorable Mention. Great job!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Friday, November 6, 2009

A Busy Day!

Several of our 4th grade students woke up very early today and were part of WKBN's Morning Show. In conjunction with Disney's Planet Challenge, six students joined their teachers and the Green Team's Peg Flynn at Dunkin' Donuts from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. While there, they handed out free 100 coffee mugs to customers in an attempt to encourage them to reuse, reduce and recycle. Thank you Mrs. Thompson for helping us! You are appreciated!

Over the course of the next few months, our 4th grade class will be completing a wide-variety of activities focusing on raising the environmental awareness of others. Their goal is to reduce the ecological footprints of others.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Today's News

I'd like to thank those who were able to make it to today's PTO Meeting. Mrs. Fedor presented information regarding the H1N1 virus and informed parents of the school district's plan of action. In addition, Denise Brindle stopped by to share news about our upcoming Blood Drive.

Our "Bowling for Dollars" campaign has raised close to $200 in just 2 days. Great job! During today's morning announcements, Mrs. Hernon, Mrs. Dalesandro and Mrs. Gunn took a turn and did not let down the crowd. I think a staff bowling team may be in our future! Four more students also had the chance to try their luck. Enjoy the pictures. More will be added soon.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

P.S. I wore my Yankee tie today!

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

PTO Meeting!

I hope you are able to make it to tomorrow's PTO Meeting. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the library. Mrs. Fedor will share a presentation regarding the H1N1 virus. Denise Brindle will be here, too. She will share information about our upcoming Blood Drive. It's not too late to sign up to donate. The last two meetings have drawn close to 40 parents. See you there.

Mr. Masucci's attitude at tomorrow's meeting will be linked to the outcome of tonight's baseball game. The New York Yankees need a victory tonight to win the World Series. His plans for tonight consist of a pizza, his recliner and a Yankee victory. He intends to wear his Yankee tie tomorrow!

Thanks,
Derek Jeter

Attention!

Mr. Wesolowsky has come up with a great idea! Information is heading home today about our "Bowling for Dollars" program. This will be an exciting way to raise money for our building's Make-A-Wish efforts. Participation is strictly voluntary. If you have any questions, please let me know. It should be a lot of fun.

I received confirmation yesterday from Major Robert Tifft that Poland North Elementary School's "request for aerial support" has been approved. In other words, a helicopter is coming! In fact, Major Tifft is planning on having 2 helicopters land behind on our school on Friday, November 20th at 12:30 p.m. At that time, our students will present our guests will hundreds of letters of appreciation! Although the visit will be a few days after Veterans Day, it will still have an impact. Please feel free to stop by and check things out! Keep your fingers crossed for a dry day.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Monday, November 2, 2009

It's November!

Be sure to ask your children what they know about this month's new character trait. If they stumble, ask what kind of insect demonstrates cooperation every day.

Information is heading home today about PTO's latest idea for the holidays. Mrs. Romito has done a great job putting together a project everyone may find useful this time of year. Be sure to read it over. Thank you.

Tomorrow will be a "Red, White and Blue Day" in honor of Election Day. Be sure to get out and vote!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Happy Halloween!

Thank you PTO Room Parents! Today's treat was appreciated by our students and staff. We should all be thankful for the nice weather. Having an indoor parade is no picnic! I'd also like to thank all of the parents for their patience during our early dismissal. As always, our goal is to make sure each student gets home safely. Be sure to look for pictures from today's parade to be posted soon.

Enjoy the weekend. If you're heading to the game tonight, plan on arriving early. It's going to be very crowded. GO DOGS!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A Little Dirt Doesn't Hurt!

I'll take the heat for the muddy shoes! Blame the Yankees. Last night's game was not fun to watch. Consequently, my mind started to race. Whenever that happens, I usually think about something here at school. Since today was "Red Day", we headed outside to create our own red ribbon. Enjoy the pictures! Red Ribbon Week has been great! Our 4th graders had the chance to listen to a special guest, too.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Blood Drive!

Information is heading home today about our upcoming American Red Cross Blood Drive. The white envelope making its way home contains all the necessary information. Simply return the enclosed form by next week and I'll take care of the rest. Our students have learned that each donor saves 3 lives! As always, your support is appreciated. This is strictly voluntary and in no way a school fundraiser.

Our 1st graders enjoyed their trip to Whitehouse Fruit Farm today. The weather wasn't perfect, but at least it didn't rain. Thanks for the doughnuts!

Tomorrow is RED Day!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

It's Tuesday!

Our Red Ribbon Week is off to a great start. I enjoy seeing all of the blue and white today! Mrs. Delasandro invests a lot of time in making this week as memorable as possible. We're lucky to have her. Tomorrow is "color" day. Be sure your children relay the message.

Since the weather will be nice, we'll plan on walking tomorrow afternoon. be sure your children wear comfortable shoes.

Have a great day!
Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

The Weekend has Arrived!

The weeks have been going by very quickly. It's hard to believe Halloween is right around the corner. Our Box Tops contest is going very well. Keep clipping! Remember, each completed sheet is worth $1.00 for our school. Thanks Mrs. Ferrick for all of your hard work.

Since our school will be holding a Community Blood Drive in November, the American Red Cross will be visiting next week to share age-appropriate information with our students and staff. The actual Blood Drive will be held on Monday, November 16th from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. More information will be heading home soon.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Thursday, October 22, 2009

Generosity!

Generosity should be the word of the week! In the last few days, our school has collected over $500.00 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation! Our students are excited to learn about our building's progress. Watching them enter the building each day and place money in our jug is a very humbling experience. Thanks for your support.

Yesterday's weather was on our side. Now.......we need 1 more day when the weather cooperates! Mark Friday, November 20th on your calendars. Our Marine friends from Johnstown, PA will once again be visiting our school. They will arrive via helicopter and land behind Mrs. Metzger's classroom. More details will go home soon. Plan on stopping by to check things out for yourselves.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Thank You PTO!

The weather today could not have been nicer for our first ever "Walk Home from School Day" I'd like to thank our PTO volunteers for their help. Without you, this wouldn't have been possible. Over 150 students manged to get home safe and sound. I'd also like to thank the our village police and fire departments for their help crossing students at our busiest intersections. I look forward to having more days like this in the future.

Great job!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

BIG News!

Considering the weather may not cooperate on Friday, our Walk Home from School Day has been moved to tomorrow, October 21st! I have contacted all of our chaperones and will send notes home with the students today. I am sorry for any inconvenience. Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer and warmer than today.

Thank you for understanding!

Mr. Masucci

P.S. Don't forget....tomorrow is also "Dime Day"!

Monday, October 19, 2009

New Phones!

Our school has new phones. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be the news of the day. However, these phones have made the day rather interesting. The kinks should be worked out soon. If you have had difficulty reaching the school, I do apologize.

Wednesday will be "Dime Day". I asked the students to search their couch cushions and countertops. For the record, I did say no one should be cracking open piggy banks!

Have a great week.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Thursday, October 15, 2009

A Long Weekend!

The 3 day weekend has arrived. It certainly has been busy the past few days. This is always a busy time of year, but this school year is even busier. There are a lot of unique projects going on and many just about ready to begin. Keep your eyes and ears on our site for more information.

Important news about the H1N1 virus will be going home on Monday. Our school has started to see increases in the number of children with flu-like symptoms. If your child has any of them, please do not send them to school. Our school's nurse, Mrs. Fedor, will be at our November PTO meeting to pass along additional information and answer any questions you may have. Hope to see you there.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Way to Go!

I am exceptionally proud of the 29 students in grades 3 and 4 who took the time to create a poster for the Juvenile Court Advisory Board's Stay in School Poster Contest. Poland North Elementary School is fortunate to have such great artists.

The posters will be delivered to Juvenile Court tomorrow. Winners will be announced by November 6th. Good luck!

Have a great day.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Monday, October 12, 2009

Box Tops!

Our school's Box Top's contest will be starting soon. Be on the lookout for more information. Last year our PTO made close to $1,000!

Tomorrow is the last day to turn in posters for the Juvenile Court Advisory Board's Stay in School Poster Contest. This was only open to 3rd and 4th graders.

Have a great week! It helps when there are only 4 days.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

It's Friday!

Quarter Day was a huge success. Thank you very much! To date, we have close to $2,000.oo! I am meeting with a representative from the Make-A-Wish Foundation next week to discuss a lot of different ideas. In addition, I have a letter for anyone who works for a company that might be willing to donate to our efforts. Please let me know. All donations are tax-deductible.

Next week is a short one. There will be no school on Friday, October 16th.
Have a great weekend.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Thursday, October 8, 2009

Quarter Day!

Tomorrow will be "Quarter Day". I have asked our students to ask permission to bring in at least 1 quarter for our Make-A-Wish efforts. Look for a thermometer on our website soon that will keep you updated on our progress. This is strictly voluntary.
(I know the picture is of a penny, but give me a break!)

I was thrilled to see so many "Walk Home From School Day" forms come back already. Keep em' coming!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Windy Weather!

It sure was windy today. Some of our little ones may have blown away during recess had it not been for our PTO volunteers and Mrs. DeLisio. Good job keeping everyone grounded ladies. (C'mon....that's a good one!) Please be sure your children are wearing coats to school. Many of our students complained about being cold, but had no jacket. Mrs. DeLisio will take our students out as long as the weather permits.

Important papers are coming home today about "Walk Home From School Day". This will take place on Friday, October 23rd. If you would like to have your child participate, please return the necessary information by Monday, October 19th.

Thank you,
Mr. Masucci

Today's weather permitted us to go for our first walk of the year. Everyone had the chance to enjoy the autumn air. Be sure to check out the pictures below.

3rd Graders should sleep well tonight. They worked hard on their Achievement Tests and deserve a restful evening.

1st Graders enjoyed a visit from Poland's Fire Department this afternoon. Be sure to ask them about it.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Great News!

The news that I was waiting for has arrived! I'll provide much more information on Monday, but here's the scoop.

Poland North Elementary School will be hosting a Radio Disney Dance Party in February. This will coincide with our school's partnership with The Make-A-Wish Foundation. There's a lot more to share, but I'll wait until next week.

Have a "magical" weekend!

Extra...Extra.....Read All About It!

Rain...Rain...Go away. Come again when we do not have a Tailgate Party planned! Despite the wet weather, we are still going to be having our party. If the rain is still coming down, we'll gather inside the Fieldhouse's lobby.
The big news I have been waiting to share is on standby! I have to wait for one more phone call before I can share the news. I hope to get in before the day ends, but you just never know. There are a lot of folks involved and i's have to be dotted and t's crossed. Hang in there!

Don't forget about tomorrow's YSU game. I hope to see you there.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Think Sunshine!

Let's hope we stay dry at tomorrow's Tailgate Party. Heather Sandy and her committee have done a wonderful job planning this year's event. If this is your first time attending, look for us behind PSHS's fieldhouse. Here are some pictures of the flowerpots our students have made with the help of PTO volounteers, The pots will be raffled off before the game! Hope to see you there.

Be sure to ask your children about October's new character trait. Find out what they know about individuality!

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci
