Welcome Back!

It was nice to see so many smiling faces this morning. It won't take long for everyone to get back into a routine. The good news is that the end is near! It will be June before you know it.

Great news! Poland North Elementary School has received a $500.00 grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. I'll be sure to put it to good use in our courtyard.

WKBN will here tomorrow to cover the "grand opening" of our school's new arbor. Members of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley will be here, too. Thanks to the $2,000 grant awarded to our school, we were able to purchase everything we needed to build the arbor.

Look for pictures soon.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Woohoo!

Spring Break has arrived! Enjoy the holiday and upcoming week. If you happen to be traveling, be safe. I look forward to seeing everyone back at school on April 12th.

During the break, we'll put the final touches on the arbor in the courtyard and finalize plans for a pond. Our school will be working with Pondscape to provide our students with an amazing area to appreciate nature and wildlife.

Happy Easter!

1 More Day!

Spring Break is right around the corner. The weather is looking up, too. Let's hope the upcoming week is filled with sunshine. To tell you the truth, I am looking forward to cutting my grass.

Thanks to our PTO for today's delicious treat. I know our students appreciated it.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Showtime!

Tonight's Spring Program is going to be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Our kindergarten and 3rd grade students have worked very hard to make this evening 's show magical. The curtain will go up at 6:00 p.m. Hakuna Matata!
(That took entirely too long to think up.)
I am still accepting reservations from kindergarten and 4th graders for the upcoming Family Health Night on Thursday, April 15th. It will be here before you know it. Information regarding this event was sent home several weeks ago on a green piece of paper. Please call me if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A Short Week!

With nice weather in the forecast, the end of the week cannot come fast enough. Like many of you, I am looking forward to our upcoming break. Spring means baseball! I"ll be at PNC Park on April 8th. I like going early in the season because the Pirates still have a glimmer of hope. Since I always cheer for the Yankees, I feel like I owe to it the Pirates to show a little love.

Tomorrow is the big night for kindergartners and 3rd graders. Their performance will be one to remember for a long time.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A Night at the Movies!

Tonight's Mother-Daughter Movie Night is going to be a lot of fun. Guests will be watching Disney's The Princess and the Frog. All attending had the chance to vote for 1 of 4 movies they would like to watch. Let's just say it was a landslide!

We'll have 2 recliners set up for those fortunate to win the evening's best seats! Handel's ice cream will be here, too.

Enjoy the weekend. Only 4 more days until Spring Break.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Thank You PTO!

Last night's Father-Son Night was one of our absolute best. I'd like tot hank those who were able to attend. Over 95% of our boys participated. I'd like tot hank Mrs. Orr and her committee for another job well done. Look for pictures of the event to be posted soon.

Our 3rd graders and kindergartners sound absolutely amazing. They are putting the final touches on what will be an unforgettable performance Tuesday evening. It will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Tomorrow is Mother-Daughter Movie Night. I'm sure we are going to have a fantastic turnout.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci
